From Samoa to the Country: Built with Two Hands (and A Lot of Prayer)
Hi, I'm Della, owner and founder of Dellaware Magnets Co. My story didn't start in a sterile factory. It started when I was 5 years old, watching my Samoan grandmother bake, weave, plant, and build her homestead with her own two hands on the small island of American Samoa. From there, I developed a lifetime love for creating things from scratch.
I grew up immersed in the arts of my beautiful Samoan culture. In Samoa, creating things with your own hands isn't just a hobby—it’s a way of life. From weaving intricate baskets and mats, to crafting vibrant cultural attire, you learn early on that the best things carry the energy, love, and time of the person who made them.
Fast forward a bit, I am now a proud wife, a stay-at-home mother of five beautiful, chaotic, wonderful children, and building my own homestead out here in the countryside of South Carolina. Needless to say, my hands are always full. But that deep-rooted desire to create with my hands never went away.
Between refereeing sibling rivalries and cooking what feels like 84 meals a day, Dellaware Magnets Co.was born. It is my creative outlet, my personal project, and my way of bringing a little piece of handcrafted care into your home or office.
